Falcon Support Services is always keen to recruit volunteers for a variety of posts, it is a great way to gain work experience, meet interesting people, boost your confidence and gain life-changing skills.

We offer various volunteer opportunities at Falcon Support Services and its projects,

in areas as diverse as mentoring vulnerable homeless people, fundraising, retail, social activities such as football and cooking as well as working in the head office on reception, managing social networking, and giving you the chance to work on specific projects.

Support Assistants

This is a fabulous opportunity for you to really make a difference, supporting vulnerable clients and creating brilliant long-term outcomes for service users. In this varied role, you will inspire and motivate service users to make positive choices and change their lives. You will provide informal support and recreational activities to our service users either one to one or in a group setting. As an assistant, you will support other team members in fulfilling their roles.

You must have a true passion and empathy for working with our service users along with a dedication to Falcon Support Services values and performance standards. You’ll really impress us with your ability to build relationships with service users and engage them in positive activities. You will be committed to contributing to the success of the team with a solution-focused, positive, pro-active can-do attitude.

We have various shift opportunities available.

Weekends – 14 each week. Actual days Saturday and Sunday 08.00-15.30 and 15.30 – 22.00 on a rotating shift pattern

Friday – *sleep in shift from 23.00 – 08.00 and Saturday 08.00 09.00

Sunday 09.00 – 17.00

Sunday 17.00 – 23.00 plus *sleep in and Monday 08.00 – 09.00.

*Sleep-in are considered to be 9 hours a night (22.00 to 08.00) which will be paid at the national minimum wage. Staff woken during these hours will only be paid minimum wage.

*The Sleep-in payment is an inconvenience allowance and this will not be included in your contracted salary and will not be paid whilst on annual or sickness leave
