Charity reaches exciting 20 year milestone!

The 12^th March 2021 marks Falcon Support Services 20th Anniversary. Celebrating 20 years of being a key Leicestershire charity, supporting the homeless and vulnerable in the community. The charity provides almost 100-bed spaces, day centres, a specialist sex worker support project, and many other projects across the county employing over 80 staff and volunteers.

One of the charities Service users, Kerry said “Never in my life have I ever anticipated or thought that I’d need supported accommodation, but my life has changed so much from being here and I will be eternally grateful.”

The charity CEO, Marie Davis said of the milestone “Falcon Support Services has had exceptional growth and development over the past two decades. This commemorative milestone has come at a time where we have remained frontline throughout the pandemic providing a vital lifeline to those in crisis and expanded our services to meet the increased need. Moving forward our focus will remain on providing responsive services with a vision to provide support networks across the county for those in need and forever homes to those who require housing.”

The charities Chair, Robert Sharp said: "It is an honour to be the Chair of the Board of Trustees as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. The charity has gone from strength to strength from its small and humble beginnings to today being one of the leading partners in tackling homelessness and supporting the vulnerable across Leicestershire. I would like to thank all Trustees who have volunteered their time and expertise across those years, you have played a big part in this success.

So many individuals have received life-changing support over those 20 years from a highly dedicated and committed group of staff who never fail to meet the day’s challenge.
