Recovery Week 2021, a huge success!

Recovery Week 2021, a huge success!

14 Sep 2021

Recovery week was back this year in full swing!

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic last year our events were based online. This didn’t stop us from having an amazing turnout and we are so grateful to everyone that supported us from home.

This year we had activities organise across the week at the Falcon Centre including shares, talks, haircuts and much more.

The aim of recovery week is to increase awareness and understanding of substance misuse issues and more importantly to celebrate all the people in recovery. Many events and activities were run by those that are now in visible recovery and gave up their time to share their experiences and inspire others. This week is so important to celebrate those in recovery and inspire others to start their recovery journey.

Sarah Whannell, Manager of the Falcon Centre said, “It was an amazing and inspiring week and I would like to thank everyone that helped make recovery week a great success, particularly those that are in recovery, the volunteers, businesses that donated time and goods, service users, the staff team, partner agencies and the whole community for supporting it.”
