Allotment Update - June 2022

The allotment has been very busy this month and the hot weather has really made things grow quickly so a lot of watering has been needed! We have just harvested lettuce, chard, peas, rhubarb and courgettes for use in the drop-in.

Our 6 chickens have now settled in and are producing around 5 eggs a day on average, which is amazing! We want to say a massive thank you to those who have sponsored a chicken so far. We will deliver your eggs to you each month but if you wish to come and get acquainted with your bird as well, you are more than welcome!

We had a brilliant barbecue earlier this month, with over 50 in attendance. Many thanks to all who came along and to The Falcon Centre for providing the burgers, sausages and buns. The eggs and salad served on the day were homegrown!
