Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Responsible to: Fundraising and Communications Manager
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (Including occasional evening and weekend work)
Salary: £24,500 - £27,100 depending on experience.

About Us
Falcon Support Services is a charity providing supported accommodation and community projects to those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or vulnerable across Leicestershire.
This exciting role is new, and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic, and proactive individual who can demonstrate a real passion for fundraising and grow and manage relationships with a portfolio of Business Champions.
Developing and managing a portfolio of corporate business champions through our stewardship journey to ensure successful onboarding and long-term retention of partnerships.
Role Purpose
Fundraising is an integral focus of income generation for the charity and this post will be responsible for delivering the Fundraising Strategy for the charity, this role will focus heavily on corporate partnerships and networking as well as supporting in-person and virtual events.
Networking and growing our corporate supporter base are key elements of this role and require a high level of trust and autonomy. Seeking out new networking events and opportunities and reaching out to businesses via multiple channels from in-person, email, telephony, and social media.
Main Responsibilities
Community Fundraising
- To assist the Head of Fundraising in developing and delivering the charity's Fundraising Strategy
- Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet fundraising targets.
- Plan and lead agreed innovative Community fundraising events and activities.
- Prepare materials for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes/bid sheets/gift bags.
- Develop a year-round program of engaging 3rd party events and fundraising challenges.
- Develop and maintain a database of supporters, donors, and potential funders.
- Seek out and develop relationships with community/faith groups and clubs etc
- Support the stewardship journey for individual donors supporting the charity ensuring the smooth-running of communications and follow-ups with donors.
- Monitor progress and impact of fundraising drives.
- Coordinate, prepare and submit grant/trust applications for funding as agreed with the manager and in accordance with the charity’s mission and strategic plan.
- To support Managers with project evaluation and the completion of end-of-project reports.
- Contribute to the Fundraising Sub-Committee.
- Contribute to Fundraising reports for SMT and the Board of Trustees.
- Attend and support fundraising activities, events, collection days, challenges etc.
Partnerships
- To contribute to the development and delivery of the charity's corporate fundraising Strategy.
- Represent the charity in a variety of settings including presentations and talks, networking groups, exhibitions, and events to inform potential supporters about the charity’s vision, mission, and work.
- Seek out new networking opportunities and support current networks.
- Research and identify potential donors/corporate sponsorships to feed into the prospect pipeline.
- Reaching out to new businesses to either sign up as Business Champions or to take part in fundraising activities.
- Manage corporate contact database and ensure regular updates and contact with corporate partners.
- Contribute to media activities.
- Submit specific partnership content to the communications officer to assist with newsletters website news submission and social media content.
- To contribute to a quarterly internal company newsletter.
- Assist in the internal communications throughout the charity, including disseminating the charity objectives, minute taking, and organising full team meetings, away days, and conferences.
- Establish links to community groups/faith groups and organisations such as Rotary, Freemasons etc.
- · Manage a portfolio of corporate partnership/business champions where you will lead in their stewardship journey.
General
- Contribute to excellent team spirit and cooperative working across all teams, internal and external.
- To undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.
- To undertake/attend any training and/or meetings as required by the job role.
- To promote a positive image of the Falcon Support Services and the service, working as part of an integrated team.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Experience of professional fundraising, or similar experience in a marketing, sales or business development environment.
- Track record of setting and achieving fundraising income targets essential.
- Hardworking and determined.
- Have excellent relationship-building, communication and networking skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Skills in effectively using online fundraising platforms.
- Ability to initiate and develop relationships with a variety of different people.
Qualifications:
- It is desirable to have a relevant professional qualification - IOF/CIM - or work towards it.
- Qualifications in event management
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Willingness to undergo a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
- Have access to a vehicle for business purposes.
- Hold a valid driving licence.
- Have business car insurance.
