Falcon Support Services is a charity providing supported accommodation and community projects to those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or vulnerable across Leicestershire.
Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive apprentice who demonstrates a real passion for marketing and making tangible contributions to increase the charity’s profile and brand. You will be a good communicator, making significant contributions to our external and internal communications while supporting Fundraising efforts
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy and planning: Work closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager and the Fundraising and Partnerships Officer to support the implementation of the region-wide Fundraising and Communications Strategy.
- Devise, implement and evaluate an annual Marketing Plan, as part of the Communications strategy in conjunction with the team.
- Plan and deliver effective and appropriate med content.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of fundraising, campaigns.
General:
- To develop team spirit and cooperative working across all teams, internal and external.
- To undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.
- Perform administrative tasks related to communications and event planning, such as maintaining records tracking metrics, and preparing reports. Ensure efficient organisation documentation of communications and event related activities.
- To undertake/attend any training and/or meetings as required by the job role.
- To promote a positive image of the Falcon Support Services and the service, working as part of an integrated team.
- Ensure all aspects of the Group Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety policies are implemented effectively

Communications:
- Devise and implement a communications plan to promote fundraising initiatives in the region, working with the Fundraising and Communications Manager.
- Working with the Fundraising and Communications Manager, follow up on potential PR opportunities.
- Provide content for Falcon Support Services communications channels, e.g. newsletters, e-newsletters and social media.
- Contribute to the creation of fundraising materials and resources for use as required.
- Work with supporters to raise awareness of Falcon Support Services and the cause of homelessness.
- Take part in in-person and virtual networking meetings.

- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- The apprenticeship is primarily based in the workplace.
- Within the first 18 months, additional training is delivered at Loughborough College on Tuesday evenings, 17:00 - 20:30
- Portfolio Workshop in college (Daytime) with Trainer Assessor(Dates to be provided on enrolment)
